No Mucho Bueno: Cali World Cup 2015
Here is a quick run down of the first world cup of the 2015/2016 season.
After 50 h of travel it took me awhile to feel like my normal self. It was a blessing in disguise that our bikes unexpectedly took two extra days to make it to Cali. So although we still trained, I felt it was perfect to ease into it.
Once our bikes arrived I was busting to get on the boards!! The legs were feeling great. I LOVE this track; tight corners which makes it feel fast. With three days till RACE day (team sprint) I was nervously excited.
We had an OK race for the Team Sprint. We both executed our race plan well and it looked tidy. However, the windy conditions did impair our time and we were disappointed with it, and consequently our place (11th).
We spent sometime looking at the video footage and data which indicated that we were on the right path, and where our coaches and staff expected. But we weren’t happy as we were wanting to go much better! Tarsh and I are striving to show a much better performance come December at the Cambridge World Cup. We have new bench marks in mind which will push us even more.
