Winter excursion – States Bound
I thought I would give you a quick run down on what I will be up to over the winter. I am traveling with the NZ sprint team to the States for 10 weeks to get in a very big block of training and racing. It is an important time of year for me as I need to get qualification points to be eligible to race in the World Cups later this year.
I will be based Pennsylvania; living in Cookstown/Allentown with training and racing in Trexlertown (aka T-town) at the Valley Preferred Cycling Centre (http://thevelodrome.com/). I leave on the 31st May!
I have four races in June to focus on. Then we have a good training block in July before two more races in August. So you can see there is a lot of racing to be done. All of these races concentrate on individual events – match sprint and keirin. So I am looking to gain a lot from these 10 weeks!
I will keep you posted as I go and will hope to get a few more drawings completed in my down time. If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see, or what you want to know about while I am in the States, please drop me a line.
Bye for now,
Kt x
